KHSAA Class 4A State Championship

For our final in Photojournalism Practicum we are doing a series of assignments on deadline. We are given 15 assignments over the course of three weeks and have to shoot at least 10. They have ranged from Black Friday to a ribbon cutting at a bank to a portrait of a family member to, most recently, the KHSAA football state championship. The two day championship was held Friday and Saturday at WKU. We had to turn in three pictures before the end of the third quarter and three more after the game.

I shot the division 4A game, Boyle County High School vs. Lone Oak High School. It was the most fun I've had shooting an assignment in a long time. Watching Boyle County come back from a 22-7 lead by Lone Oak was inspirational. I felt lucky to photograph the passionate football players of Boyle County. Their energy gave me a boost of excitement and reminded me that it's possible to pull through even when it seems impossible. Let me know what you think!
